Thoughts for the Christmas Season

For all of us, December is jam-packed with Christmas festivities, decorating, parties, baking, and family time. Many of us have memories of snowy Christmases. The evergreen trees growing in the woods were draped with a mantle of white. Stars glittered in an icy sky. Carolers wrapped in scarves, coats and mittens serenaded us.

When I was a child trying to go to sleep on Christmas eve, I thought Christmas would never arrive. Now, as an adult juggling many things, Christmas comes with a rush as I frantically try to get everything on my “to do” list done. In all of the busyness of the Christmas season, let’s never forget the real reason that we celebrate Christmas, the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

I wish each one of you a blessed Christmas season.
